Adventure Slovenia

This summer, I spent five days touring Slovenia with Adventure Slovenia. I heartily encourage anyone who is visiting this lovely country to use this indispensible guide service. They escorted us through the REAL country, not the shabby tourist stops so many tour companies often feature.

Whitewater rafting in the shadows of the Alps; jumping five-foot waterfalls with a world-champion kayaker; sitting down to a wild boar stew with a Slovenian family; dining in the finest restaurants - we did it all. The only problem is, Adventure Slovenia may have spoiled me for other guided trips!

Slovenia is a beautiful country. Lakes Bled and Bohinj take your breath away. The colors of the water at these lakes and Vintgar Gorge are incredible.
After a few days of touring the Spa was a great treat. Sooo relaxing. From there we met Jure's parents who are so generous with their home. The view from this house is perfection. You don't want to leave.

Then to see the coast! Piran! Is there anything not beautiful in this country not to mention the great places our guide took us to eat. The food and ice cream are fabulous. Don't do mass tourism. Do Adventure Slovenia. You'll be well taken care of and most of all Jure will make you want to come back for more!

Adventure Slovenia was phenomenal. We did the Postonja cave trip, the white water rafting, the canyoning, part of the Bled trip, and the wine tasting and thermal baths trip.

The tour guide was very well informed, the prices were the lowest you'll find in Slovenia, and the adventure Slovenia team were really helpful and accommodating. I've been to 14 countries on this trip through Europe, and the Adventure Slovenia team made Slovenia my favorite country of all 14. Thanks for everything.
